Growing transport volumes and our customers’ requirements call for reliable, modern and versatile rolling stock. That is why we continue to strengthen the BUDAMAR GROUP fleet. This time, we are expanding it with an EffiLiner 1600 diesel locomotive from Czech manufacturer CZ LOKO, leased from RS Lease and known among railway professionals as the Bizon.
The new locomotive will allow us to increase flexibility in providing transport services, particularly on routes and operations where electric traction cannot be used. With a power output of 1,550 kW, it is designed for both mainline and shunting operations, making it a suitable complement to our modern electric locomotive fleet.
Tatras on the rails
Our latest addition has also received an original design. This time, we drew inspiration from one of Slovakia’s most distinctive symbols. The locomotive features a panorama of the High and Low Tatras.
The way the design was created is equally unique. The artwork was designed and hand-applied by spray artist Denis Valašek from ARTWALL studio directly at the CZ LOKO production facility. The result is an original piece of artwork that will make our new Bizon truly stand out on the railway network.
With the new locomotive, we are gaining additional capacity to ensure reliable and seamless transport services for our customers. At the same time, it is another locomotive that will represent both BUDAMAR GROUP and Slovakia on the railway network.
